Storm water drains under our office like a waterfall. The office often smells of mildew. The ramps to our office are crooked, uneven and unsafe. I’ve asked the foreman for the contractor to send someone to “shore it up.” NO ONE responds to my and others’ pleas for help. WTF is going on here? We’ve been good citizens, minding our own and being patient since January. To call this a circus is an insult to the good people at Barnum & Bailey. To call it a train wreck is an insult to Union Pacific. Please. Please. For the love of all that’s right and good, please. All Aboard 92-3 The Depot! No Bad Days! We’re not party to Paige’s 45-day injunction, so as best as I knows y’all can keep workin’. But as it stands, it seems we’ll be among the last to be finished as I reckon t’aint no one fixin’ be in a hurry to be fixing Paige’s buildings. But that t’aint us. Meanwhile I and our studio guests will continue to wade through and brave the outstandingly safe and secure temporary walkway across the now ignored area of disorganized platforms, pallets, trash, pipes and such as a byproduct of my seemingly bad luck. Additional progress was made last week with the start of conduit installation for the streetlights, drainage tie-ins and form work and pouring of concrete for curb and gutter. This week has the following activities: · Wrapping up electrical conduit work · More forming and pouring of curb and gutter · Completion of drainage work · Potential for sidewalks late in the week. As usual all of these activities are weather permitting but the forecast looks like hot and sunny for the week. If there are any issues or concerns please contact me and I will respond as quickly as I can. Eric G.
